PMI Mt Baker Chapter has a Very Special Event!
Our chapter meeting will take place at Brandywine Kitchen and feature Chapter President Mark Semrau. Mark is the Capital Projects Manager at the Skagit PUD where he oversees the implementation and execution of the District’s Capital Improvement Plan. Mark has worked in the water supply industry for the past 33 years. Mark received his bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineer and his master’s degree in Environmental Engineering from Washington State University. Mark received his PMP certification in 2007.

Mark will show the link between Front End planning and Capital Project success and present success factors and best practices in front end planning that will improve capital project performance. We will discuss how poor scope definition can lead to cost and schedule overruns.

Part II: Demonstration of the Planning Definition Rating Index
Demonstrate a front end planning tool that will improve scope definition and identify project risks.
The cost for this Very Special Event is $5 for PMI members/$10 for non-PMI members, which includes the presentations and networking. The Brandywine Kitchen is located at 1317 Commercial Street, Bellingham, WA and offers an extensive menu and a full bar. Please order any food when you arrive, and the restaurant will serve between the presentations, about 6:30.
